Brand New Regression Lesson
Following the pandemic, "test optional" admission policies have remained the norm at many colleges across the country. Yet, others are starting to go back to requiring the SAT/ACT. Who benefits from test optional policies? Does it make admissions more fair / equitable, or is it counterproductive? Will it last?
In our new AP Stats 3.3 lesson option, students explore these questions using regression, residual plots, r², s, and some serious quantitative reasoning. The lesson context is highly relevant for students who will soon be applying to college, and it can provide a useful alternative to the powerful (but also heavier) AP Stats 3.3 lesson option on predictors of mass shootings.
It's a two-day lesson that'll spark some amazing conversations. Link below. Enjoy!
